Our Current and Future Projects
On this page you will be able to see our past and current projects. We hope this page helps you to see what a community can do when it comes together with a common goal.
Projects:
Restore Caboose
Station Restoration:
This was our very first project since 1999 when the organization was founded our goal was to restore the Depot to its former glory. We were finally able to complete restoration in 2013 when the visitor center and museum sides were completed. See the before and after pictures below.
Tower Restoration:
This was the second project we started after the station was complete. The project was started in 2015 and was opened to the public on May 20, 2016. The tower was fitted with public restrooms, vending machines and a control room on the second floor. See the before and after pictures below.
Bernie Rudberg Pavilion:
This was the third project we started after the station was complete. The project was started in 2018 and was opened to the public on April 19, 2019. Visitors can rest in the shade or picnic in the pavilion. It will help us to accommodate school visits, attract community groups and regional tours to the depot as an historic and cultural landmark.
Purchase Caboose:
This was the fourth project we started after the station was complete. The project was started in 2019 as we began to search for Caboose that fit what we needed for Depot Park. We were finally able to get a Caboose and purchase it and move it to the park.
